Since the beginning of summer, the scorching sun and relentless heat wave have presented a severe "baking" test for the workers on the front lines. Although the company has installed industrial ceiling fans in the workshops to dispel some of the summer heat, a noticeable heat wave still hits you upon entering the workshop. Company leaders deeply understand the hardship of the employees' work and have visited the front-line workshops to deliver "coolness," care, and慰问 (words of comfort and encouragement) to the employees who remain at their posts.
August 7th is the beginning of autumn (立秋). In China, there is a custom of "啃秋 (kěn qiū)" on this day, which simply means eating watermelon on the day of 立秋 to "bite" down on the "autumn tiger" (a period of late summer heat), dispel the summer heat, and nourish the five internal organs. The company chose the beginning of autumn to give each employee a large watermelon, hoping to bring a touch of coolness in this sweltering summer. When the watermelons were delivered, they repeatedly said "Thank you, thank you," each with a smile from ear to ear.
In recent days, temperatures have soared, with persistently high temperatures. Frontline workers in the production workshops have remained at their posts, sometimes working overtime to ensure timely delivery to customers. Their sweat-soaked work clothes bear witness to their hard work and dedication, ensuring the smooth progress of production.
